Padre::Plugin::Vi "Esc" does not switch to command mode when activating vi plugin (Padre restart required)

Description

The vi plug-in does not work for me.

When I activate the plug-in (v. 23), hitting 'Esc' does not switch to the command mode (as the documentation promises).

It does work, however, after a restart of Padre.
