Description
On Ubuntu 10.04, hitting F7, F8, F9 leads to the input of 'Ś', 'ś', 'Ŝ', respectively.

I still observe this.
I know it is a minor issue, but it is still inconsistent behaviour, and it may confuse users, and give a bad impression.
