1218	Ctrl-F now killing X-Windows	szabgab "After fixing #1216 by r14289 which worked on Windows now the Ctrl-F has extreme behavior and can make X-Windows unusable.
On one machine (SUSE) when I press Ctrl-F a window appears (probably the search window) outside of the screen (at the top) and padre is not responsive. ESC would close this and Padre can be used again.

On Ubuntu 10.10 pressing Ctrl-F changes the whole look of the Window manager (maybe it killed the windowmanager?) as I don't have the borders of the windows any more and I cannot type anything. The mouse still works but the only thing I could do with the keyboard is switching to a console (Ctlr-Alt-F1) where I could login and reboot.

At one point I even saw an error message:
{{{
(padre:2077): Gdk-WARNING **: Native Windows wider or taller than 65535 pixels are not supported
The program 'padre' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.
  (Details: serial 51223 error_code 11 request_code 53 minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
   that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
   To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
   option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
   backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
}}}
