Unexpected program termination when selecting menu items

Description

padre 0.842 on win7x64 pro SP1 -- from the download page on the website.

This is perl 5, version 12, subversion 3 (v5.12.3) built for MSWin32-x86-multi-thread
Wx Version=(0.99) wxWidgets 2.8.12 unicode=(1)
Wx::Perl::ProcessStream  0.30 
PPI  1.215

Steps to reproduce:

Startup the application -- then click on Edit > Insert .... > Special Value. Program terminates immediately without warning.

Same happens for Edit > Insert .... > Snippets.

Doesn't matter if a file has been loaded or not.

First bug report -- be gentle.

Just installed 0.94 via CPAN -- these errors no longer persist.

Couldn't find any existing bug report that mentioned these items, though.
