build failed on OS X mountain lion

I attempted to install Padre on a MacBook? Pro, running OSX Mountain Lion, using your site's instructions for installation from MacPorts?. I'm using the MacPorts? perl5.12 package, rather than perl5. Is that a problem? The wxwidgets build generated the following error:
Error: org.macports.fetch for port wxWidgets returned: wxWidgets does not build
on 10.8 due to missing Carbon support, please use port wxWidgets30 instead.
The wxWidgets30 package installed okay, but the Padre build run by CPAN failed. It was apparently
trying to build another version of Alien-wxWidgets. Perhaps it was looking for the old module? I've attached
the output from the Padre build for your reference.
I haven't looked into what options might be available for the wxWidgets30 installation. I'd be happy to try whatever steps you suggest.
