The default search should use Perl regular expressions.

There should be an option (checkbox) to allow verbatim searches probably adding \Q to the beginning of the search.

There should be a case sensitive/insensitive option. By default it sould be case insensitive.

Allow search in both directions.

Include all the stuff that is in UltraEdit? as seen in the attached file.

Has this been met? I think both Adam and Searching are working on Padre these days. :)

Mind you not all options are implemented that are in the screenshot.
