docbrowser should provide a menu.
file:

open / close doc / recent files / close window

edit / etc.

agree. and where possible , the available default window manager shortcuts for same.

Will look at adding in the recent files list too.

If this gets much bigger, will look at redoing the menu code to be more Padre like.

I don't get the Open on the menu... is it really worth it?

I'm expecting a docbrowser that we are able to use to search all help module doc etc...

I consider this fixed in 0.40 . The resolver of the highlighted text and the search entry are the same.
