This post http://jhthorsen.github.com/2009/06/01/line-noise-parentheses.html made me think. It would be nice if we could provide a way to show invisible syntax.

That is, we should be able to show $_ or @_ or @ARGV or parentheses even if they are used implicitly in the code. B::Deparse does part
of the job but it is also missing some of the features. ( I mentioned it on p5p as well once http://www.nntp.perl.org/group/perl.perl5.porters/2009/03/msg144630.html but then I did not have the brain power to actually write a patch )

r14963 added a "Perl -> Deparse selection" menu option.
Currently the -p option is hard-coded but the menu should open a dialog and let the user select
the options.
