As I can see in this log: http://ppm4.activestate.com/MSWin32-x86/5.10/1000/G/GA/GARU/Padre-0.45.d/log-20090902T173956.txt they are not able to build Wx. When I am looking for Wx.ppm it is not available from ActiveState http://cpan.uwinnipeg.ca/dist/Wx but I don't see any failure log either.
So my guess is that their regular build skips it an when Padre asks for it, it just fails to build. So the first thing would be to get !Activestate to build Wx.ppm

This is the latest log I found

Are there any news on this issue?
Please keep http://padre.perlide.org/trac/wiki/Distribution updated, too.

One suggestion was to remove older versions of Padre from CPAN keeping only the 2 latest.
