#74 closed defect (fixed)

Padre pretends to save read-only files

Reported by: manni Owned by: szabgab
Priority: major Milestone:
Component: editor Version: 0.09

Description

If a file is read-only, Padre will not issue an error message. In fact, it behaves as if the file was really saved.

This is on Linux.

  • Version set to 0.09

fixed after 0.09 by giving a popup if the file could not be saved.

We probably should indicate if a file is read-only,
allow the user to force-writing it
allow the user to change the permission from within Padre.
