autocompletion should also work with backspace

Description

when typing with autocompletion on, the list of possibilities shrink as they don't match anymore. however, if you type backspace to remove a character, the autocompletion list is not updated and disappears.

i propose that the autocompletion list expands again as letters are removed with backspace.
