Auto complete tooltips won't "go away"

Description

Turn on autocomplete always when typing and you get the tooltip pop up.

When you don't want to use the suggestion you can't hit Escape or any other key combination to get rid of the popup. You have to click elsewhere in the document to move on.

Escape should get rid of the pop up and then not pop up again until after the word is moved out of.

worksforme on ubuntu 9.10 virtualbox image on windows7, running Padre r10960

Hitting escape hides the popup.
